Last week, the town of Bled, Slovenia, hosted the ICAR & Interbull meeting where Prof. Hélène Soyeurt from the University of Liege introduced the scientific community to EU-LI-PHE. The central theme of the meeting was “Sustainable Livestock Production Systems in a New Era,” a concept that aligns perfectly with the core mission of EU-LI-PHE.

Prof. Soyeurt, who leads Working Group 1 for EU-LI-PHE and is one of the main organizers of the upcoming training school in Belgium, eloquently presented the initiative’s goals. She emphasized EU-LI-PHE’s commitment to advancing the farming industry and economy in Europe, with a particular focus on enhancing animal welfare.

Her engaging presentation and warm personality captivated the audience. We eagerly anticipate more of Prof. Soyeurt’s impactful presentations and networking activities in the future.
