On 24-25 September 2025, the EU-LI-PHE project brought together young researchers and innovators for a dynamic two-day meeting that was held in parallel with the Animal Science Days in Nitra, Slovakia. The sessions focused on skill development, collaborative activities, and advancing key project outputs.
Participants worked on designing a new EU-LI-PHE poster, improving the project website, and updating the general project presentation to make it more accessible and engaging. They also explored exciting ideas for upcoming webinars on data ownership, data sharing, and livestock phenomics.
The meeting included in-depth discussions on the upcoming EU-LI-PHE book on livestock phenomics, with chapters planned to introduce the field to new readers while providing scientific depth. Groups collaborated on review papers, policy brief ideas, and a Google Form to streamline deliverables coordination.
This hands-on experience gave young researchers the opportunity to contribute directly to project outputs, develop professional skills, and strengthen their network within the EU-LI-PHE community. The activities highlight the project’s commitment to fostering the next generation of experts in livestock phenomics.
