EU-LI-PHE Opens Grant Call for 2026

The EU-LI-PHE COST Action is pleased to announce the opening of its Grant Call for 2026. This call aims to support the professional development of researchers and innovators within the network and to promote the dissemination of livestock phenomics knowledge across Europe.

Four types of grants are available:

1️⃣ Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM)

  • Purpose: Funds a visit to a host institution in a different country to carry out specific research or innovation work for a defined period.
  • Maximum Budget: 4,000 EUR (average: 2,500 EUR)
  • Key benefit: Access to new datasets, methodologies, and expert networks.


2️⃣ ITC Conference Grant

  • Purpose: Supports oral presentations of your own work at high-level conferences organized by third parties, for participants from Inclusiveness Target Countries.
  • Maximum Budget: 1,300 EUR (conference held in Europe), 2,000 EUR (conference held outside Europe), 400 EUR (online conference)
  • Key benefit: Present research results and expand professional network internationally.


3️⃣ Young Researcher & Innovator (YRI) Conference Grant

  • Purpose: Supports poster or oral presentations by Young Researchers & Innovators at high-level third-party conferences.
  • Maximum Budget: 1,300 EUR (conference held in Europe), 2,000 EUR (conference held outside Europe), 400 EUR (online conference)
  • Key benefit: Early-career researchers can disseminate their work and engage with the EU-LI-PHE network.


4️⃣ Dissemination Grant

  • Purpose: Funds oral presentations of COST Action work at high-level third-party conferences, based on annual budget plans and identified target events.
  • Maximum Budget: 2,500 EUR (face-to-face event), 500 EUR (online event)
  • Key benefit: Promotes EU-LI-PHE outputs and strengthens awareness of the network’s activities.
