The 2nd EU-LI-PHE Training School, titled “From Data to Discovery: Measuring & Analyzing Livestock Phenotypes”, successfully concluded in Leuven, Belgium, following five intensive days of in-person and online learning, collaboration, and community building. Hosted by KU Leuven from 14 to 18 July 2025, the event welcomed early career researchers and professionals from across Europe to explore cutting-edge tools and methods in livestock phenotyping.
Participants engaged in a rich program of lectures, hands-on workshops, and project-based teamwork covering a wide range of topics, from sensor technologies, AI applications, and resilience modelling, to computer vision and insect phenotyping.
We extend our sincere thanks to:
- All the trainers who shared their expertise and time;
- The KU Leuven team, including support staff and facilities;
- Prof. Tomás Norton, Training School host and Vice-Chair of EU-LI-PHE, for his scientific leadership and logistical guidance;
